Postcards from Florence: Jersey Shore Edition

What's it like to go to Florence, Italy and shoot photos of MTV's reality show, "Jersey Shore"? Well for one, you miss going to anything that other people want to see in Florence.  

The cast and crew of the show (over 100 people) made the streets a traveling carnival. But carnivals and circuses make for an intersting subject. Shooting on the street is very unpredictable and hopefully I captured some of that in my photos.

Football Portraits

I had the opportunity to work with a couple of college football players, Kory Johnson and Robby Palacios of the Azusa Pacific University football team for a few portraits. 

My friend, photographer Ben Chen worked on the project together. You can see his images from the same portrait session on his blog.

Portraits of Michelle Bombshell McGee

I was assigned to shoot some stills of Michelle "Bombshell" McGee for the television show, "Inside Edition", at a San Diego hotel. The main goal was to let the television crew do their job and for me to provide photos for promotion. I just used the available light in the room for some portraits and then used a sound blimp to document the on camera interview.

Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin- UFC 116 Photos

UFC 116 in Las Vegas was the clash of the Titans with the sports two top heavy weights, Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin entering the cage. I shot photos of the fighters during four days of the fight week including open work outs, press conferences and weigh-ins.
